BUILT FOR CHARTER
Ananda was already originally designed and built to serve as a charter vessel. 2012 to 2013 she was completely renovated and rebuilt to her present condition.
IRON WOOD HULL
Ananda’s hull is built from 6 cm thick iron wood planks which are said to last a century when treated right.
Only hand selected fine teak wood from Sulawesi was used for her decks. The planks have been allowed to dry for over a year before they where crafted into the floors.
To ensure utmost rigidity and capability for high seas we have used twice the amount of rips and deck beams than usual for the hull construction of Ananda.
Ananda is equipped with a life raft, life vests, modern navigation equipment such as a chart plotter, radar, forward looking sounder, VHF & SSB radios, a first aid kit and oxygen for emergencies.
