FLORES

KELIMUTU & RIUNG

...from the tri-colored lakes to empty white beaches...

Kelimutu is a volcano around 50 km to the east of Ende, the begin of your journey.  The mountain contains three striking volcanic crater lakes that vary in color and as a result they seem quite mysterious to travelers.  The colors in the lakes change independently from each other due to adjustments in the oxidation-reduction status. Between January and November 2016 the colors of the craters changed six times.

Riung, a small fishing village located in the northern coast of Flores mostly known as the gateway to the 17 Islands National Park. The village itself is sparsely populated, with wide streets lined with coconut trees and friendly locals. Difficult to reach by road, Riung is still quite unknown to travelers and best explored by liveaboard.

Pristine uninhabited little islands invite you to leisurely relish their reclusive beaches and enjoy a campfire at night.

SULAWESI

BIRA – WAKATOBI – SELAYAR – TAKA BONERATE

...from traditional boat building & crystal clear seas to colorful villages...

Sulawesi formerly known as Celebes is an island in Indonesia. One of the four Greater Sunda Islands and the world’s eleventh-largest island it is situated between Borneo and the Maluku Islands. In Indonesia, only Sumatra, Borneo, and Papua are larger in territory and only Java and Sumatra have larger populations.

Our trip could start in Bira the magic place where ANANDA was built to operate as a liveaboard. The center of traditional boat building culture where one can see how this magnificent ships are still being built by craftsmen on the beach. There are also some excellent diving diving spots around and on the way south to the island of Selayar. We can explore a waterfall deep in the jungle and sail on to Taka Bonerate another amazing island group. Difficult to navigate, it is full of sand banks and little white sandy islands with just one or two coconut palms on it.

In south east Sulawesi lies the Wakatobi Marine National Park. An amazing place where one will find everything from sleepy local villages to world class exploration diving.
